Knotty or rustic hickory is for the client who appreciates wood with strong grain patterns, including knots, burls, and streaks. Wood color varies from cream to dark brown. Choose a natural finish to highlight the color variation or a stain to soften it.
Similar to knotty hickory, knotty alder features a dramatic wood grain with a variety of natural markings such as knots, cracks, streaks, and bird pecks. Open knots may create holes to enhance the rustic look.
